Key features

Solar Panel Coating is a clear nano coating for the glass surface of solar panels. It forms an invisible layer that makes the surface easy to clean: dust, pollen and bird droppings find it harder to stick and are easier to rinse away.

It suits rigid solar panels on homes, commercial buildings and solar farms, as well as solar-powered pumps, signs and lights. The coating lasts 5 years or more in ideal conditions.

Solar Panel Coating is not made for thin-film, flexible or polymer panels. Do not apply it to hot panels.

Directions for use

  1. Clean the panels with Pre Cleaner and do not use abrasive cloths. They must be dry, at 5 to 35 °C. Avoid hot panels and direct sun.
  2. Shake the bottle well, spray on and wipe in with a lint-free cloth, one small area at a time, top to bottom. One coat, about 10 ml per square metre.
  3. After 2 to 5 minutes, buff off the haze with a microfibre cloth.
  4. Keep the panels dry for about 60 minutes. Full performance is reached after 24 hours.

Good to know

  • Do not press hard when you wipe. Too much pressure can damage the panel.
  • Do not apply a second coat, and avoid applying in wind.
  • Clean the panels with water and a soft cloth. Where water is scarce, a dry, soft cloth will do.
  • Store the bottle closed and away from light at 5 to 25 °C.

Safety

  • Highly flammable. Keep away from heat and flames. No smoking.
  • Wear gloves, ventilate well and avoid breathing the spray.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Read the safety data sheet (SDS) before use.
Test on a small area first and read the safety data sheet before use.
