Key features
Timber Sealant is a water-based product that soaks into raw timber and protects it from water, stains and marks. It is invisible and does not change the look or feel of the wood. The timber stays breathable and ages and greys naturally.
Timber Sealant suits decking and patios, fences, outdoor furniture and planters, and indoors timber surfaces, benchtops, plywood and shingles. One coat is enough.
It is not suitable for painted or varnished timber. Oil-rich timbers such as merbau, redwood, cedar and blackbutt must first have their tannins leached out.

Directions for use
- Clean the timber and remove old coatings. Sand older timber or wash it with a pressure washer. The surface must be completely dry. Drip water on the surface to see how absorbent the timber is.
- Stir or shake the product well and do not thin it. Test on a small, inconspicuous area. Work in the shade if you can.
- Apply liberally with a brush, roller, pump sprayer or HVLP sprayer until the timber looks wet. On finely sanded surfaces, do not let the product pool. Wipe off the excess with a clean sponge.
- Apply only one coat. Keep the surface dry for 24 hours and do not scrub it. Full performance is reached after about 5 days.
- Blot spills with a damp cloth. Press it lightly on the spot instead of rubbing.
Good to know
- On decks and patios, a pump sprayer or a decking brush gives the most even result. Soak up any pools with a cloth.
- The product is made for raw timber. On stained timber the effect is weaker.
- Clean with water and a soft cloth. Outdoors you can rinse with a pressure washer on the lowest setting, but not too often.
- Store the container closed and away from light at 5 to 25 °C.
Safety
- Avoid breathing the spray and ventilate well.
- Keep out of reach of children. Read the safety data sheet (SDS) before use.
